🎓🌎🌈 Farewell to the Class of 2020… 🎓🌎🌈

Last night our wonderful 6th Class students gathered for the last time to say farewell and celebrate their graduation as the Class of 2020…

They are a class that will go down in history, all children will for the experiences they’ve had during this pandemic. 6th Class were particularly hard hit as they missed so many ‘rites of passage’ that we associate with the last few months of primary school.

As expected though, they powered through and last night they came out the other side and gathered (at a social distance of course!) to celebrate the last 8 years together and the end of their primary school years. As teachers we couldn’t have been any prouder so we can’t imagine how their parents felt.

We’d like to say a HUGE go raibh míle maith agaibh to our Parents Association’s terrific trio ( Tina Mcmanus, Sam Rowntree Carty and Lisa Mc Dermott) for all the behind the scenes work they did to make it extra special for everyone, and to the parents who participated in the ‘drive by’. It was very special and there was definitely a few tears shed. Photos will follow over the next few days but for now I’ll leave you with the words of Dr Suess…

DON’T CRY BECAUSE IT’S OVER, SMILE BECAUSE IT HAPPENED 💜
